Sekilas Tentang Profil Band Coldplay

Coldplay adalah band rock Inggris yang dibentuk di London pada tahun 1996. Band ini dulu nya bernama “Pectoralz” dan kemudian “Starfish,” sebelum akhirnya mengubah nama mereka menjadi Coldplay. Coldplay meraih ketenaran di seluruh dunia, karna merilis lagu "Yellow" pada tahun 2000, lagu yang benar-bernar meledak di tahun tersebut.

Coldplay telah memenangkan banyak penghargaan di sepanjang karir mereka, termasuk sembilan Brit Awards, enam MTV Video Music Awards, tujuh MTV Europe Music Awards dan tujuh Grammy Awards dari 29 nominasi. Mereka telah menjual lebih dari 100 juta rekaman di seluruh dunia, menjadikan mereka salah satu artis musik terlaris di dunia. Tiga album pertama band ini Parasut (2000), A Rush of Blood to the Head (2002), dan X&Y (2005), adalah salah satu album terlaris dalam sejarah grafik Inggris. Pada Desember 2009, majalah Rolling Stone memilih Band ini sebagai artis terbaik keempat dalam deade ini.

Personil/Anggota Band Coldplay

1. Christopher Anthony John Martin (Chris Martin), Dia adalah vokalis utama dan merupakan penulis Sebagian besar lirik lagu coldplay. Di beberapa lagu Coldplay, ia juga kadang merangkap sebagai pemain keyboard/piano
2. Jonathan Mark Buckland, Dia adalah gitaris utama,dan salah satu pendiri Coldplay.
3. Guy Rupert Berryman, Dia adalah pemain bass coldplay. Meskipun Berryman orang kidal, ia memainkan bass dengan tangan kanan.
4. William Champion, Dia adalah drummer dan backing vocal Coldplay dan juga menulis Sebagian besar lirik lagu coldplay.
